Cheap Eats in Myrtle Beach Myrtle Beach restaurants

Text 24 Dec Abuelo’s - Happy Hour

Abuelo’s located by the Coastal Grande Mall is one of the best and cheapest happy hour locations in Myrtle Beach. The happy hour Tapas menu focuses on several different Spanish influenced dishes ranging from $3.00-$5.00. The drink menu is just as intriguing and great on price. Margaritas, Mojitos, Beer, Wine, and well drinks are featured on the menu, with a variety of sizes, and most are very price savvy. Linked below is the full happy hour menu and regular menu.

First, I will talk about the drinks. Being that it is a Spanish restaurant, Margaritas are a must. I am a huge fan of Abuelo’s Margarita’s. They are made to perfection. The right amount of Tequila and mixer. Below are the two different sizes of the margarita’s you can choose from, 12 oz Margarita priced at $3.00 and an 18 oz Margarita priced at $4.00.

Now, let’s talk food. All Happy Hour tables are given chips with three different choices of salsas. A regular tomato based salsa, a spicy salsa, and a verde salsa. Chips and salsa are also unlimited.

Next, the tapas. This trip I chose to eat the Alambre de Camaron (bacon wrapped shrimp with a jalopeno inside) and the Carnita Tacos (mini pork tacos). The bacon wrapped shrimp were so delicious. Perfectly cooked and spicy. The tacos are also so delicious. You get two mini ones and they are described as traditional Spanish “street food”. However, keep in mind that these are tapas, so portion sizes are smaller than a normal dish.

If you are looking for a great and cheap happy hour, Abuelo’s is definitely the place. For $20.00 you can get a lot to eat and drink. I highly suggest going here for your Happy Hour experience.
